Physiological Childbirth Class

“Childbirth is a rite of passage that initiates a woman into motherhood and transforms her sense of self and her role in society” - Rachel Reed

In this Childbirth class, we will cover:

  • Preparation for labour and birth - trusting Your intuition

  • Learning about hormones in labour and birth

  • Working with birthing hormones

  • Creating a calm birthing environment (physically, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually)

  • Normalising pain in labour. Pain with a purpose.

  • Different ways of managing pain in labour and birth

  • Regulating your nervous system

  • The role of your support person when supporting a woman in labour

  • Understanding the different positions your baby may be in within the pelvis and how these can affect labour and birth

To help make this class enjoyable and memorable, interactive activities will be included that will enhance your learning and help you retain the information long after the class.

You'll also recieve a take-home booklet so you can continue practising what you've learned, and revisit the key concepts and techniques whenever you need a refresher.

You are welcome to bring along a support person to this class with you at no extra cost.
