KaHuna Massage

KaHuna Massage and Bodywork

I offer a space to honour transitions, rites of passage, presence, connection to your inner resources and the truth of the continuation of your creation; Which is how you choose to follow the call to attention, inspiration within, how you care and nurture yourself and honour the life you’ve lived until now and the direction you’re choosing to go with the encounters you’ve had in life that deeply inform your values and sense of who you are.

Each Kahuna session is a full body massage using long, intuitively flowing rhythmic movements with the fingers, hands, forearms and elbows . . .  The elemental dance of movement and breath used in a Kahuna session helps your mind to quieten, your muscles to let go, and to unlock and unblock the energy lines within your body, so that you can come home... into a true sense of Self.

KaHuna Massage and Bodywork sessions with me offer an opportunity to rest and digest, process, integrate, ground and rejuvenate; Contact the feeling and body based process of inspiration.

KaHuna Massage

Ka Huna is a beautiful style of holistic massage originating in Hawai’i with long, flowing strokes over the whole body, using mainly the forearms, with warm oils aiding gliding flow. Traditionally this massage was used for initiation times as well as healing, and can promote relaxation, restoration, energy lifts, and any shifting that the body might need.

Ka Huna combines my love of dance, sound and ceremonial, devotional practice within healing spaces.  I approach this work with great joy and deep respect for the lineage… and for those who are called to receive.  It’s an honour to hold space for people through processes, showing up just as we are in each moment.

KaHuna Massage

Kahuna is a full body oil massage.

It is a traditional Hawaiian healing art bringing balance and reconnection to your body, mind and soul.

The practitioner uses their hands, elbows and forearms to deliver continuous, long, rhythmic strokes to mobilise, relax and nourish your body.

Clients lay on a massage table and are draped with a sheet and towels. Natural oils like sesame, apricot kernel and coconut are used. Music will be playing to support the rhythm of the bodywork.

Kahuna bodywork eases muscle tension, supports mental and emotional well being, enhances flexibility and joint movement and improves lymphatic flow.
