Art therapy uses the image storing part of the brain (the hypothalamus) to connect with the messages and needs of the subconscious. It is one of the fastest ways to ‘cut to the chase’.
Art therapy helps people regain and strengthen their emotional (and sometimes physical!) health through acknowledging and learning about their emotions and how to become aware of some of the subconscious. I offer both ‘art as therapy’ as well as Jungian based, traditional art therapy.
You do not have to be ‘good’ at art to reap the benefits of art therapy! In fact, sometimes it's better if you're not.
